Dr. Raento's inaugural lecture as the Government of Finland/David and Nancy Speer Visiting Professor in Finnish Studies at the University of Minnesota is included in the article "Striking Stories: A Political Geography of Euro Coinage," which was published in the journal Political Geography in 2004 (volume 23) and co-authored with Anna Hämäläinen, Hanna Ikonen, and Nella Mikkonen of the University of Helsinki.
